About the Award: We are pleased to present to you “Stanbic IBTC University Scholarship”. This initiative is in continuance of our goal to support dreams and aspirations of Nigerian youths as we have  been doing over the years through various activities such as Youth Leadership Series (YLS), Higher Institution Football League (HIFL) and so on.

Eligible Field(s): Applicants who plan on studying courses related to the “Future of work” will be an added advantage (for example Data Science, Business Analytics, Economics, Accounting, Finance, IT and so on).

Eligibility: The Stanbic IBTC University Scholarship (The “Scholarship”) by Stanbic IBTC Holdings PLC (“Stanbic IBTC”, “we” or “us”) is only available to Applicants (“Applicants”, “They” or “You”) who:

  1. reside in Nigeria and participated in the 2020 University Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME) conducted by the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB)
  2. have a score of 200 and above in JAMB
  3. have gained admission and have been properly enrolled in a Nigerian Federal or State University (“University”) with relevant evidence

The Scholarship is awarded on the basis that you will maintain an enrolled status at the University in your admitted degree programme
The Stanbic IBTC University Scholarship does not apply to employees of Stanbic IBTC and/or their immediate family members, where there are entries by employees of Stanbic IBTC or their immediate family members, it will not be rewarded.
Stanbic IBTC reserves the right to decline participation in the Scholarship for any applicant at their discretion.

Selection:

  1. The Scholarship will only be awarded to 100 Applicants spread across the 36 States of the federation and FCT with a minimum of 2 Applicants per State.
  2. The Scholarship will be offered on a first come, first serve basis until the 100 slots are allocated.
  3. Scholarships will only be awarded to applicants that follow the instructions and meet all the eligibility criteria.
  4. Winners will only be contacted through the valid email address they provide.

Eligibility for Oxford University Fully-Funded Scholarships 2020

  • Students must be applying to start a new graduate course at Oxford.
  • Students should be intending to return to your country of ordinary residence once your course is completed. Students currently at Oxford are not eligible to apply unless they are already Weidenfeld-Hoffmann scholars.
  • The Louis Dreyfus-Weidenfeld Scholarships and Leadership Programme targets future leaders pursuing diverse careers with a focus on improving food security and sustainability. Successful applicants must demonstrate that, following their academic studies at Oxford, they are committed to serving the global community through their chosen field of work, including but not limited to: the agricultural industry, development areas, politics and/or law related to food security and/or sustainable agriculture, health care, environmental and water management, economic, public and foreign policy.

How to Apply for Oxford University Fully-Funded Scholarships 2020

  • In order to be considered for this scholarship, students must select the Weidenfeld-Hoffmann Scholarships and Leadership Programme in the University of Oxford Scholarships section of the University’s graduate application form and submit an application for graduate study by the relevant January deadline.
  • Students must also complete a Weidenfeld-Hoffmann Scholarships Questionnaire and upload it, together with the graduate application form, by the deadline.
University will use the details you insert in the ‘Nationality and ordinary residence’ section of the graduate application form to assess your country of ordinary residence.
  • To be eligible for consideration for this scholarship, applicants must be successful in being offered a place on their course after consideration of applications received by the relevant January deadline for the course.   • Carefully research the Program website of the University of your choice to learn the specific details about eligibility criteria, requirements, deadlines, and other application instructions.
  • Select the institution and program you want to apply to. While there is no limit to the number of schools you can apply to, it is important to note that it takes a great deal of effort to complete an application package.

Shell Niger Delta Postgraduate Scholarship 2020

The Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria Limited (SPDC), operator of the SPDC Joint Venture, is delighted to announce the Tenth annual Shell Niger Delta Postgraduate Scholarship 2020 (NNPC/SPDC_JV Niger Delta) Postgraduate Scholarship for applicants from Bayelsa, Delta, Imo and Rivers states. The objective of the scholarship programme is to provide postgraduate study opportunity in courses that are relevant to the oil and gas industry, for qualifying students from these Niger Delta states. In the nine years of this programme, 92 students have won the opportunity to study at top-rated universities in the UK on full scholarship For the academic year commencing September 2020, SPDC in partnership with three universities in the UK--Imperial College London; University of Leeds; and University of Aberdeen will award scholarships for one-year post-graduate M.Sc. studies. Eligibility Criteria for Shell Niger Delta Postgraduate Scholarship 2020

  • To qualify for the scholarship, applicants must;
  • display intellectual ability and leadership potential;
  • have an adequate standard of English (at least 6.5 in IELTS) and meet the College’s language requirement;
  • have been offered admission to study on one of the Eligible Courses at the College having applied through the normal application process;
  • already hold (or expect to hold by the time of taking up the Scholarship) a degree of an equivalent standard to a UK Upper Second Class Honours degree
  • must have completed their National Youth Service by September 2020
  • be ordinarily indigenes in the Rivers, Imo, Delta or Bayelsa State of Nigeria, and who intend to return to Nigeria at the end of the period of study
  • have not already had the chance of studying in the UK or other developed country.

Application Process 

  • Submit application for admission to any of the participating universities for any of the qualifying courses.
  • Application forms for the scholarship will ONLY be available through the websites of the Imperial College London, the University of Leeds and University of Aberdeen, following a formal offer of admission by the university.
  • The universities will process applications and select candidates who will attend interviews with SPDC before being considered for final selection.
  • Completed scholarship application forms must reach participating universities not later than April 15, 2020.
The scholarship will cover tuition, one economy return-flight ticket from Nigeria to the UK and a contribution towards living expenses only*. More information on specific course admission requirements can be obtained from the websites of the three individual universities.
  • *Please note that the stipends (living expenses) are based on the Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU) published living rates and are limited to this only.
  • This is a non-committal scholarship. Note that NEITHER SPDC NOR any Shell company is obligated to offer employment of any sort to any candidate upon graduation, neither are successful candidates bonded to SPDC for any period of time on account of the scholarship award.
