Everyone is familiar with Google. Google is a multi-million dollar Company –the owner of the most renowned web search engine where you can find information about any subject you are looking for. Not only is Google known for research, She is also known by webmasters for running advertisement promotion programs called Google Adwords and Google Adsense. Google Adsense is a wonderful initiative that allows webmasters or bloggers to market information for Google for income.
But How Does Google Adsense Work?
To understand how Google Adsense works, you must understand a little bit about Google Adword.
Have you ever read internet pages where you found adverts at the side of the pages or inline? Observe those adverts closely and you would find a tag “Ads by Google”. Those adverts are there thanks to Google Adword Technology.
Everyday, a lot of companies and individuals use Google’s Adword program to advertise their businesses or campaigns for a fee. This technology allows people to place their adverts on numerous blogs and websites around the internet. Google uses an advanced filtering system to place adverts that match the keywords that are found on blogs and websites.
Those adverts do not just appear on random blogs or websites. The owners of the blogs must have applied to be Google publishers before they can place adverts from Google’s Adsense Technology. If you have a blog or a website, you too can apply to be a publisher, and if Google accepts you as a publisher, you can place adverts on your site. Whenever anyone clicks on the adverts on your website or blog, Google will pay you some money. In other words, Google shares the income she has received from her sponsors with you for helping her to promote her sponsors’ products.
How to Start Using Google Adsense
To start using Google adsense you need to have a website or a blog. No, not a free blog, but a paid one. A free blog is the one you create using Blogger’s or WordPress’ extension. Those blogs end with .blogspot.com or .wordpress.com. For example, abc.blogspot.com or abc.wordpress.com. Google does not accept those kinds of free blogs. What Google wants is a paid blog. A paid blog is one that you have installed on a domain name that you purchased. it does not end with any third party extension. abc.com, abc.net, abc.org, abc.info are examples of domains that have been purchased. To get a domain of your own, you need to purchase one from any hosting company.
After you have purchased your domain name and installed a blog or website on it, the next thing you need to do is to drive lots of visitors to your site. The more traffic you get, the more clicks you are likely to get, and the more money you will make from this program. There are a lot of ways you can drive traffic to your blog or website which we will discuss another day.
What if you did not get enough visits to your site, should you click the adverts yourself? No, you must not. Clicking the adverts yourself goes against Google’s policy and Google can disqualify you from this program. But How would Google know if You click the ads yourself? Well, upon registering for Google Adsense program, Google tracks your IP address and monitors your site from that destination. Any clicks that look suspicious could terminate your contract with Google. So, you should do your work legally. Many people who are genuine and professional about this program are living pretty large on the program alone.
If you are running Google Adsense program, you must should think of writing interesting articles at least once a week for posting on your site. When you have interesting articles on your site, Google will love your website and send traffic there. As people visit your site, read your articles and click those ads by Google, your account will be credited.
When you have reached a threshold, i.e. earned a certain sum of money (not less than 100 USD), Google will send you a cheque through your registered address. To cash the cheque, you would need to go to the bank and pay it into your domiciliary account.
