The Japan International Award for Young Agricultural Researchers aim to increase motivation among young researchers who are contributing to research and development in agriculture, forestry, fisheries, and related industries in developing countries.
The award is seeking to recognize young researchers who have shown outstanding performance in R&D in agriculture and related industries or has outstanding achievements in R&D that will lead to future technological innovation in agriculture and related industries for the developing area.
Cash gifts of up to $5,000 for three winners.
- Individual should be a researcher who has the nationality of a developing nation and or territories, and belong to a non-Japanese research institute or a non-Japanese university.
- Should be under the age of 40 as of January 1, 2020.
- Should be engaged in research and development in agriculture, forestry, fisheries, and related industries in developing regions, including the food industry sector and the field of environment.
- Must be able to attend the commendation ceremony in Japan, 2020.
